Remembering Windrush
inspiring curiosityToffee Hammer produced a video for schools posing the question: Why do you think the Windrush story is important and should be remembered?
Through the film, we invite pupils to find out about the Windrush story, encouraging them to delve into this pivotal chapter in history through the lens of four key sources.
Partnering with The National Archives education department, we developed a script to distil this complex period into an engaging and easily understandable narrative.
The heart of our project lies in the power of inquiry. By asking questions, the video invites the audience to empathise with those emigrating to Britain and encourages them to consider how society has changed over time.
