Case Study

Cutting through initiative fatigue

An learning programme in a multinational organisation needed to stand out from the noise of everyday communication.

The challenge was to help people notice and engage with something new in an environment already full of messages and internal campaigns. The initiative needed to feel different enough to cut through, but clear enough to understand and use.

Helping a workplace initiative stand out from everyday communication

Pixel art illustration of two office workers facing off in a video game-style versus screen. Pixel art game screen showing one character celebrating victory while another kneels in defeat. Pixel art character selection screen featuring workplace characters as video game avatars.

We developed a 16-bit arcade world that turned familiar workplace frustrations into a playful, recognisable experience. The retro game style gave the initiative a distinctive visual identity and a simple way to explore the barriers people were facing.

Our role combined creative direction, storytelling, learning design and production. We worked with the client to identify the everyday moments the initiative needed to address, then translated them into characters, scenarios and visual language that people could quickly understand.
